Easy DIY Tulips Gift Wrapping Idea Tutorial
To make this tutorial I used a couple of twigs and a few tulips out of some bunches that I actually bought for another post on how to display tulips in glass vases.
I also used a simple brown kraft paper but any patterned or plain gift wrapping paper would also work too. Just make sure that the paper you use is of good quality so that it is thick enough and not too thin or flimsy.
In addition to the wrapping paper, you will need some clear cellophane. I used plain cellophane but clear with patterns such as dots and swirls etc would also look nice.
Tissue paper can also be added if you want to add more volume or another layer of colour. I did not do this and this is totally optional depending on how you would like your bouquet to look.
Materials Needed For Tulips Gift Bouquet
- Brown Kraft Paper (or other good quality wrapping paper)
- Cellophane
- Sticky Tape
- Scissors
- Double Sided Sticky Tape (you can also use just normal tape rolled double)
- Tulips (or other flowers)
- Spring Blossom Twigs
Instructions – How To Make Gift Wrapped Tulip Bouquet

- Cut out a 35cm square of wrapping paper
- Fold it in half (to make a rectangle)
- Fold in half again (to make a square)
- Cut a curved scalloped pattern on the 2 outer edges (not on the folded edges)

- Open paper out – you should have a pretty scalloped-edged circle
- Lay a bunch of flowers diagonally so that the blooms sit slightly below the top left corner
Tip: How to Stop The Flower Bouquet Drying Out
I found another good tip on a Dutch website after I wrote this post. To keep the flowers from drying out add a moist piece of tissue at the bottom of the bouquet and wrap it with clingfilm. This is the site where I saw it: acupoflife.nl It is in Dutch but you can see pictures of how to do it along with a couple of other ideas on how to wrap simple flower bouquets.

- Put some double-sided sticky tape on the underside of the bottom left corner (just use rolled-up pieces of normal sticky tape if you do not have double-sided)

- Make a cone so that it comes to the centre of the square and stick it down

- Add another piece of tape on the inside of the top right corner
- Finish rolling it into a cone and stick it down at the back

- Cut a 40cm x 40 cm square of cellophane
- Lay the paper cone in the centre
- Roll to make another cone

- When placing make sure that the corner point of the paper cone matches the corner point of the cellophane
- Secure cellophane with normal sticky tape at the back of the cone
